Job Description
Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC fellowship-trained Spine Surgeon to lead our growing spine program at the Carle Neuroscience Institute in Urbana, Illinois.
Practice opportunity details include:
- The ideal candidate would be fellowship-trained in Spine Surgery with a passion to grow the spine program and advance their academic career via collaboration with Carle Illinois College of Medicine and the University of Illinois Beckman Institute in a variety of neuroscience translational research projects

- Take call at a single hospital with strong hospitalist and critical-care support
- Our Neurosurgery team has four hospital-based Advanced Practice Providers on days, three on nights and two clinic-based APPs in addition to excellent support staff
- Strong referral base with little local competition; all spine cases in the area are referred to the Carle Neuroscience Institute

- Carle Neuroscience Institute (CNI) provides comprehensive medical and surgical services for our patients with brain and spine disorders and participates in several clinical trials for patients who come from all over the Central Illinois region
- State-of-the-art equipment including O arm, Zeiss KINEVO® microscope, StealthStation™ Surgical Navigation system, Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy and Siemens 7T MRI Scanner for clinical and research usage.
