The Manager of HR Technology leads an HRIS team responsible for the HR technology processes, systems, and ongoing enhancements needed to bring our HR technology vision to life. Through executing our HR Technology strategy, this role ensures that systems and solutions align with organizational vision and place our teammates at the center of technology and data decisions. The Manager of HR Technology, along with her/his/their team, build strong, collaborative partnerships throughout HR and the organization.

This Manager of HR Technology will lead their team through the design, implementation, and run of solutions across multiple areas of Workday integral to the teammate life cycle – namely Core HR/Security and Total Rewards.

Implement our HR Technology Strategy

  • Provide hands-on leadership to design, develop and deliver technology or process solutions with a laser focus on the user experience.
  • Aggressively seek to identify and implement opportunities that improve system usability, efficiency and ROI.
  • Monitor business initiatives and trends to anticipate where technology can optimize success.
  • Explore and champion interconnectivity between Workday and other technologies in the organizational ecosystem.

Cultivate People Partnerships for Success

  • Build relationships across teams throughout HR, Technology and the broader organization.
  • Provide deep perspective on Workday functionality to proactively address challenges across the HR landscape.
  • Develop our HR technology roadmap within supported areas and prioritize work with our HR Centers of Excellence and the Leadership team.
  • Solicit feedback from users and partners and analyze all available data sources to continuously improve the Workday experience.

Sustain and Optimize Data and Process

  • Oversee Workday configuration and maintenance for a portfolio of disciplines across the HR spectrum.
  • Ensure adherence to data integrity/privacy standards and internal controls within the portfolio. Keep leadership fully informed of issues and challenges related to data protection and provide risk mitigation solutions when needed.
  • Aggressively evaluate processes for efficiency and efficacy. Be fearless in leading the team through design and engineering decisions.
  • Leverage technology to reduce friction points, eliminate manual effort and dispel negative user experience.

Lead and Develop Talent

  • Demonstrate a leadership style that prioritizes collaboration, empathy and flexibility within the team and in interactions with others.
  • Empower team members to drive results by being available, removing barriers and obstacles, and setting expectations for accountability. Provide regular coaching, feedback and recognition.
  • Promote a team culture that emphasizes continuous learning, growth opportunities and skill development.


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 years of HR systems experience supporting HR and Total Rewards
  • 3+ years of Workday experience in Core HCM, Security, Advanced Compensation, Benefits and Absence
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team of HRIS professionals


Targeted Pay Range: $83,000 – $138,200. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay regularly to ensure competitive and equitable pay.
