The Accounting Manager / Staff Accountant position performs and oversees overall accounting activities as well as internal control of meShare. Additional responsibilities include assisting the CEO and Management Team with various routine and special projects.


General Accounting Duties

  • Responsible for inputs to general ledger and all accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP
  • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly financial activities that support the integrity and preparation of the monthly financial statements
  • Research and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Manage payroll by clarifying and calculating wage and position information
  • Responsible for scheduling payments and reimbursements after gathering proper approvals
  • Coordinate transactions with subsidiary

Financial Analysis Duties

  • Work directly with the CEO to prepare monthly financial statements and management reports including income statement, balance sheet, and other reports
  • Work directly with the CEO on Special Projects as assigned, such as the preparation of the financial aspects of capital expenditures or other investments. This would include preparing a business case that would assess the risks and rewards for key opportunities

Internal Control/Compliance Duties

  • Maintain ERP system (Accounting module) to meet efficiency and compliance requirements
  • Monitor and enforce existing internal controls and recommend changes or additions
  • Understanding current and proposed legislation; enforce accounting and tax regulations; recommend new procedures
  • Prepare reports, maintain proper documentation, track covenants, and communicate with banks
  • Responsible for audit preparation and communication with external CPA and Audit firms


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum three years accounting or finance experience; start-up environment preferred
  • Previous payroll experience preferred, but not required
  • Previous Management Accounting experience preferred


  • Self-starter, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work under pressure, willing to take challenges
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skill
  • Adaptability to work with stakeholders from diverse cultures
  • Proven capability of multi-tasking
  • Proficient in Excel, ERP experience is preferred
